They suspect it could be related to Battle for Azeroth as there are elements of Old Gods in there. This I find a loose connection but the only plausible one I can see. Seems rediculous Blizzard have to to do things like this to old content. I believe they used to all give about Now it's about 60 except for Ossirian the Unscarred who still gives over rep.

We then considered the possibility that Tranquillien and Wintersabers were not actually cancelling each other out as we long assumed they were. After all, they have two entirely different quest lines, are from two different expansions, and when you change factions you don't automatically switch from one to the other unless you've completed the quest line. We had a couple of people who hadn't done the Tranquillien quest line ever , and after they completed it the counter on their Alliance toon's achievement tracker went up.
To bar any other possibility we did the above on a new account, et voila, a magical mystery reputation solved. There is still another magical mystery reputation that many of us have, and we are still working on solving that. Comment by Haggersta I have been looking for clarification about cross-faction and cross-realm achievements with regard to reputation.
I have almost exclusively played Horde on 1 server but recently made an alliance toon on another server and wondered if the faction grinding I do will count towards the Exalted Rep achievement. Mousing over the shield in the top right corner of the achievement says progess on any of your characters will count - but I just reached exalted on an alliance city faction and the count didn't alter. I don't think I'm mis-remembering and will shortly be able to confirm either way as I'm almost exalted with a 2nd city faction.
Does anyone know for sure? And here is a quote directly from it. Then your account only has credit for 1 of those 2 reps in the achievement tracker. Account wise they're the same rep. There's no explanation of the loot based on class , and where the NPC's are stationed for the rep turn-ins. It's very sparse and not real helpful. Do those count individually or is it all lumped under Steamwheedle for 1 rep?

Hunters, take advantage of that bonus rep while it lasts and get Exalted to tame those Cloud Serpents. This is the first time I have seen blizzard actually clean up old content. Most of the times they just leave them in their xpac state and work solely on the latest content.
I don't mind Blizzard removing legacy systems that don't really serve a purpose anymore. Helps to minimise the bloat. Honestly i think this is pretty ethical..
